About Us
The office of Miranda Childs DDS opened in 1994 to provide families in Arkadelphia, AR, and surrounding communities with trusted general and preventative dental care. As a local, family dentist, Dr. Childs and her staff are dedicated to helping patients of all ages. From routine cleanings and digital X-rays to dental implants and same-day crowns, we offer each of our patients the personal, gentle dental services they need and deserve.
Dr. Miranda Childs
Dr. Miranda Childs wanted to be a pediatrician since she was 13-years-old. During a mission trip in college, she met a boy who was sick with osteitis and wanted to help him. The experience made a strong impact, and she later transferred from medical school to dental school in order to work towards her passion: making a difference in people’s lives through dentistry.
In addition to her own dental practice, Dr. Childs helped to start the Arkansas Mission of Mercy, an annual two-day free dental clinic for underserved Arkansans. She was the organization’s foundation chair for many years and its first female president.
Dr. Childs has served on the Arkansas State Board of Health for two terms, totalling eight years.
